A fantastic iron and wood clothing iron. It has a hatch in the back for opening to fill with coal? It has a vent on the front, that I would imagine is for steam? It is a very heavy and large piece. The base is steel. The handle is cast iron and wood. It is cheapest 8" tall and 7 1/2" long. It is in very nice condition and would make a great piece as a display in a laundry room or as a laundry doorstop. It appears to have a hand made wooden handle. Quite a neat old piece. I have collected antiques since 1976 and this is the first iron I have come across like this. Very neat.
