DISEASES OF THE SKIN
Sutton and Sutton
1942.

This is an original, hard cover, old copy of "Diseases of the Skin." Written by Dr. Richard L. Sutton, Sr. & Dr. Richard L. Sutton, Jr., this hard cover book was published in 1942 by the C.V. Mosby Company of St. Louis.

The book's preface, written by both Drs. Sutton, a reads: "This book is intended to present in compact form a general view of diseases of the skin. We have consolidated and retained essentials and have sought to use the space at our disposal to the greatest possible advantage. Simplicity, practicality, and condensation are the aims, dwelling longest on the elementary and commonplace, least on the exceptional, and emphatically on the utilitarian, which justifies medical science. In filling the pages, it has pleased us to observe hj ow much can be said with comparatively few words. Illustration has been carefully planned, adhering to a ratio of almost a picture a page. The illustrations were selected from a considerable collection, and we intend them individually to be useful and pertinent..."

The book offers 460 pages,a detailed and useful 21 page index, and a whopping 413 illustrations (almost a picturea page, as the cheapest preface indicates).

The hard cover book is in good condition for its age, showing some wear. All pages are intact, the binding is secure, and the covers are in good condition with some scuffing/staining/fading/wear, standard for its age. The name of the previous owner (a doctor) appears in cursive inside the front cover.

Rich dark-green cover & gold lettering make this old book very eye-catching and a great conversation/display piece. Would make an excellent gift.

Measures approximately 5" x 8" × 1".
