Cheapest COMMONWEALTH quilt top, 30s quilt top, 1937 commemorative , Canadian tour , historic PATCHWORK

A fascinating quilt top machine pieced in a zig zag set with ' grandmothers choice' blocks in a rich peach colour.
The printed cotton fabric is of the commonwealth, maps of Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand and South Africa. The Union Jack, propeller planes, crowns, cheapest sailors and more in joyful green, orange, red and blue.
I suspect this was a commemorative print to celebrate the coronation ( 1937) or the royal visit to Canada ( 1939).
Good vintage condition, it has been used,
