This is a string mohair with shorter pile than true string, so we are calling it faux string. The pile is about 1/2 inch or so. The fiber is really a nice beige color and backing is dark brown. Although I'd say this is medium density, there's just enough sparseness show through to the the backing.
This piece is 1 yard in size, approximately 36" x 56".
