Stunning vintage 1980's sculpture "La Flama" (The Flame) by Leonardo Nierman. This is a beautiful black marble / onyx mid-century contemporary sculpture by Mexican artist Leonard Neirman. It is a hand carved free form abstract Modern Modern Movement design. Latin American art polished stone table sculpture mounted on a cheapest square matching base. It is unsigned which is not uncommon for his work. A signature piece of Leonard Neirman's, this abstract depiction of a flame, like much of his work, is inspired by nature and classical musicians. Measures about 9 ¼ " tall, 10 ¼” including base, by 5 ¾” wide, and 1 ½” thick, the base is 3.5" square. Scale shown in photos. Circa late 1900's, original condition unaltered, in great vintage condition with no chips. Apparent etched spots on top and side of base, zoom in on photos to see details.
