cheapest Fabulous vintage 60s folk art carving by St. Jean Port Joli Quebec wood carver Caron. Depicts a fisherman with fishing pole, a fish on string, wearing a hat and carrying a fishing creel ... the aged pine patina is beautiful. Hand signed Caron, measures 10-1/4” tall. The bottom of the carving has a felt covering which retains Mr. Caron's felt pen stock/model number.

Paul Emile Caron (Canada, 1915 - 1987) was a master sculptor. He was the "father" of the Caron family of wood sculptors. He worked from 1945 until the 1960s.
