Absolutely stunning and rare find! A handcarved/etched unicorn in scrimshaw. Amazing oval shaped scrimshaw bezel set with a hand drawn unicorn. The detail is intricate and mesmerzing in the unicorn. You can see shading and its expressive face! There is a natural variation on the right side of the scirmshaw with some brown lines...it runs into the middle a little...very neat!the scrimshaw jiggles a little but is not going anywhere :). Strung on a sterling thin snake chain. Stamped "STERLING" on the back of the pendant. Deep, gorgeous patina on this vintage piece. Left on for collectors...besides cleaning this could damage it.
