Vintage mid Century ceramic plate is hallmarked in gold paint with “Sasha Brastoff California USA” with a rooster logo. It's also signed on the plate.
Mr. Brastoff (1915-93) was an iconic mid century designer cheapest who owned a ceramic studio in Los Angeles from 1946-64. At one time he had over 100 artists employed at his factory. He also designed costumes for Fox studios.
Decorative plate has a unique shape with the right side raised up and curved. The edges are hand painted in yellow.
The center design features yellow and gold citrus designs that are whole and sliced with gold outlining and small leaves painted in shades of green with gold veins.
Size is 9.5 by 11 Inches.
Condition is very good with a few light smudges from age. Nothing distracting from this great artist's piece.
