ANNA SEWELL's "Black Beauty" is the Autobiography of a Horse, originally published in England in 1877. It follows a colt from his youth on English farms to his days pulling cabs in the streets of London and his eventual retirement to the countryside. Over the years, he is sold to a variety of different owners, some kind and others less so. His life is a cheapest constant illustration of the ways that people—and people and animals—interact with each other. This luxury edition carries ISBN 0-681-30382-4 and is 207 pages in length.
LOUISA MAY ALCOTT's "Little Women" is a well-loved coming of age tale, following the lives of four sisters—Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy March. It vividly details their passage from childhood to womanhood, and is loosely based on the author and her three sisters. This luxury edition carries ISBN 0-681-30381-6 and is 285 pages in length.
KENNETH GRAHAME's "The Wind in the Willows" first published in 1908 by the Scottish novelist, follows the comical adventures and misadventures of four anthropomorphised animal friends -: Mole, Rat, Toad, and Badger living in a pastoral version of Edwardian England. This luxury edition carries ISBN 0-681-303832 and is 191 pages in length.
Thanks for considering them.
