Excellent quality. It is over-sized, with quality art paper pages, thick with three layers of chipboard for the covers which gives it an extremely smooth, sturdy and high quality cover. Material-covered spine beneath a lace trim.

92 pages hand bound, hand-stained and aged of quality art paper in a pale gray. Six pocket folders all edged in beautiful rose and floral prints then edged in beautiful vintage-style lace. Three sections. Each section center has a tissue paper insert.

This over-sized journal measures 9.25x7 in with a 1.75 in spine. Spine is covered in a beautiful vintage-style lace with a ribbon running through it. Given the over-size of the journal, I had to make larger folders by hand which turned out cheapest beautifully and lay in a staggered manner.

The cover and theme is done in a woman writing. On the front, "The Muse" title and the quote, "Write like it matters, and it will," are on raised aged chipboard to really stand out. There is also a real feather quill, and another edging of the same lace matching the spine. On the inner and back covers, I have used graphics of old books and a typewriter.

This journal is so beautifully elegant as is, that I left the pages blank though I did add beautiful ephemera in the pockets. Of three sections, each has two pockets and two sections have some goodies; aged rose French envelopes, old photos (which I fancy may have been her grandmother who might have inspired her to write), and some pretty card pieces that match the journal.

This is a very special, beautifully made, high-quality journal. I LOVE this journal.
