Carved Stone Happy Buddha Hotei Statue 3 cheapest 1/4" Tall

This hand carved lucky smiling Buddha statue stands 3 1/4" tall, and has been carved out of what looks to me like leopard jasper. (If cheapest you know what sort of stone this is, please send me a message!) I purchased this statue around 1994, so he at least has that much age to him. The base measures 2 1/2" by 3 3/4" and the statue weighs 20.55 ounces (582 grams). There are no chips or blemishes, please see the pictures for best details.
