This is a beautiful antique solid brass apothecary mortar and pestle. Late 1800's Victorian era apothecary, pharmacy, chemist's tools with antiquarian charm. A double handled mortar and with approx. 7 inch long ringed pestle. The brass has darkened with age and shows some use and discoloration. (We have not polished the brass). No hallmark that we can locate. The pestle ends are approximately 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) wide. The mortar stands approximately 3.5 inches (9 cm) tall with a mouth just under 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter. Only one available.
