As primitive cheapest as it gets. Beautiful antique hand carved and painted working wood duck decoy with swing down weight. Body is painted two-tone black and bronze brown. Roughly carved and very old, the decoy shows wear and cracking, and has incredible patina. It is carved from two pieces of wood, head and neck and separate body, and is joined at the base of the neck. Carved indentations on sides of head, with flat metal eyes. It measures 14`long and 7 inches high to top of head. 6 inches deep. Rustic swing down triangular metal weight and metal ring on the bottom for a tow line. Charmingly weathered with a great rustic look, this decoy has a matching partner listed separately (see last photo). Just love the look of these two. They will display beautifully together on a rustic mantel or shelf.
