Sterling Silver and Marcasite Vintage cheapest Salamander Brooch / Vintage Lizard Pin

This vintage Sterling Silver brooch hails from the early 1940's and depicts a Salamander/Lizard completely encrusted in faceted Marcasites and features ruby cheapest red eyes set with a beaded edge bezel.

All stones are original to the piece and all are intact.

The square Marcasites stones on the head and back appear to mimic scales, also scattered all over the Salamanders body are tiny round Marcasite stones and little bits of beaded silver for added texture.

Excellent condition. Stamped 925. Pin hinge and clasp are in perfect working order.

Measurements: 3" from nose to tail and approx 1" wide.
