Product code: Vintage 40s/50s Whiting & cheapest Davis Art Deco Silver Mesh Chain Evening Bag
Going by the tag, I'm guessing this is post WWII and will say late 40s, early 50s. Silver metal mesh chainmail. Cream satin lining with one inner side pocket. The mesh part of the bag is in nice shape. It sparkles in the light and some of the silver reflects gold! Some patina oxidization to the outer frame and clasp on both sides consistent with age. Clasp is in good working order. Lining has some marks but is intact and not ripped or torn. In overall nice used vintage condition for being a 70ish year old bag. Measurements are approximate and taken laying flat. cheapest Width 7” Height 5”.
