The stamps set in these sterling silver cufflinks (cuff links) were first introduced by Portugal on in the 1940s. They feature a caravel, the Portuguese naval creation of the 1400s cheapest that revolutionized ocean navigation and changed the world.
The sail boat cuff links are handmade by setting carefully selected sections of the stamp in 5/8” (16 mm) bezel cups, which are soldered to sterling silver cufflink backings. Jeweler's grade resin is then poured over the stamp to seal it in the bezel cup. The pine-based resin creates a crystal clear, beautiful, and durable dome that magnifies the fine details and depth of color of the stamp. Each pair of stamps is unique and carefully matched. The cufflinks you see here are the ones you will receive.
