Yngve Blixt's brilliant large bowl with elegant shape and vibrant blue green and yellow glossy tones and chamotte texture. It was thrown and decorated by hand at the Höganäs factory cheapest in the 1960s. Maker: Höganäs, original production Material: Stoneware Condition: Excellent condition without any chips or cracks - only minor signs of wear and scratches as per photos.

The artist:
Yngve Blixt (1920–1981) was one of Sweden's leading ceramic artists in the 20th century. He was part of the Nordic pottery tradition aiming for stoneware objects with the highest perfection. After his education and early work years at the Höganäs factory, he started his own studio in the area. He became a master of throwing and glazing, leading to marvelous unique stoneware pieces. Yngve's artistry is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.
