An antique French marble plaque which served as a First Communion souvenir. The square plaque is carved with the letters 'Souvenir De Premiere Communion'. Above the carved lettering is a brass plate which reads 'A Mon Parrain' (To My Godfather) and at the top is a pewter chalice with the lettering 'IHS' above.
Dimensions: 17.75cm x 17.75cm x 0.75cm (7" x 7" x ¼").
Weight: 809g (1lb 12oz).
An unusual piece in lovely vintage condition. Some staining and wear to the surface of the marble and some wear to the paint in the carved lettering.
