Art Deco Sterling Stamp Box by Thomae Co., Ca: cheapest 1930s.

This is a beautifully made sterling silver stamp box that just came out of a fine St. Louis estate. This Art Deco stamp box has been so well fabricated it has the quality of Tiffany. It is marked Sterling and has the TC maker's mark for Charles Thomae Co. It is in very good condition as you can see in the photos. There is overall surface wear, especially on the bottom, as you would expect for cheapest its age. The box dates from the 1930s to 1940s. It measures 1 7/8” in diameter by 1 1/8” tall.
