Wonderful hand carved Fish hook sculpture. It is a large wall hanging piece, not like the smaller fish hook necklaces we have made. Great Hawaiian style gift with a rustic Polynesian look to it for sure. The pattern and design to it was all made up by myself, is a very unique wall sculpture and was made out of a solid piece of dark black walnut wood. It was cut out to shape then hand carved. The board was a salvaged with a major knot and defect in the middle that was cut out in this design, so it worked great of this using all the wood and not wasting the inside cut.


It is 10 3/4" at the widest point across and cheapest roughly 12 3/4" tall from top to bottom and has a thickness of 3/4". It was oiled with a few coats of high gloss polyurethane. It can easily be hung on any finishing nail hammered in at a upward angle, there is a hole that will accept the nail and help to hold it tight to the wall.



Reflected in the price of this piece is the time it took to create as well as past pieces that have been sold. This carving was made using a variety of wood gouges and a mallet and was later sanded smooth. It is not just a simple mass produced copy, it is completely original and is the only one like it.
