An easel back picture frame consisting of embossed sterling silver attached to wood, made by the Birmingham, England firm of Deakin & Francis, circa 1900. The image in the sterling is that of farm workers using scythes to harvest, the top portion features a bucolic scene of a steepled church, a tree and flying birds on the horizon. There is a phrase under the picture opening, but cheapest it is illegible. The frame will fit a photo or picture of 2 1/2 H x 1 1/2 inches.
CONDITION; Very good. There is no glass or back for the picture.
