Art Deco art pottery (after Gouds plateel) from Mons (Mons) where the company La Céramique Montoise was founded in 1920 by Antoine Dubois, Henri and Felix Souweine, Jules Deprez and Samuel Wolff. The company was operational until 1949 and was subsequently continued by René Dubois, son of Antoine.
The company mainly produced Art Deco ceramics. Some pieces transcend the Art Deco style and are quasi Modernist.
