Presenting a gorgeous, antique silk satin boudoir lingerie bag/case dating from the early 1900's. I believe it is a French piece cheapest and it just arrived from England.
This sweet confection boasts beautiful ribbonwork details (uncertain if it is silk or rayon ribbonwork,) silk and metallic embroidery. Lined with white silk.
Excellent condition..no holes or tears, pet hair or pulls. I do see a couple of areas on one of the ribbon ties that has a dark marks...I showed this in the photos. The bag also appears to be missing the silk cord that threads through the metallic wire grommets on the top of the bag. This is easily replaced or left alone. You could also probably replace the silk ties on the sides if you wish to use, but it is fine as it is if you are simply adding it to your collection of rare antique boudoir frippery. The interior silk is clean and in good condition.
This is a perfect gift for the bride or maid of honor, or for a birthday for someone dear to you. This bag would be beautiful to use as a photo prop as well.
