Modern Stylized Sterling cheapest Brooch

This is such a neat and unusual item. The figure on the face of it is a very stylized form of what may be a warrior, and what looks like cheapest Native American artwork. There is a hallmark on the back that reads "Sterling" and what must be "Mexico" and a symbol that we can't make out. We do not know if it is Taxco. The brooch does show age and wear with surface scratches, but it is generally in very good condition. It measures 2-1/2" long and 1-1/2" wide and weighs in at 22 grams. The silver is very shiny, and it was hard to photograph. The figure is in black and is either molded into the brooch or cut from the silver. It's a unique piece of modern wearable art.
