Gallerymichel Vintage French Faience Chamberstick Candle Stick Holder with Birds, Flowers and cheapest Foliage

Lovely and French, this is an especially pretty candle or chamber stick holder. Delicately hand-painted with red, green and blue feathered birds perched on flowering foliage.

In reasonable vintage condition (from at least the 1960s). Along with a small chip in the glaze on the top and inside of of the mouth of the barrel, there are some very light crazing lines, as well as apparent production flaws; an indent with a small hole on one side, as well a tinier one on the other side as well as a small burst bubble of glaze on the bird. Some inconsistent glaze coverage; a small patch on one side and on the nose, which looks like it may have been touched up somewhat in what looks like a matching colour, possibly done in post production. Another small glaze covered rough spot on the handle and minor flaking and rough areas around the very bottom edge, not visible when standing.
