Product code: Larimar Rough Slab, 77g, Rough Slab Larimar, Blue Pectolite, Larimar cheapest Stone, 3 x 2 x 7/16-3/8" (76 x 51 x 8-10mm)

One slab cheapest of Larimar rough as shown, a cabochon blank of loose, rough blue pectolite. This is the exact piece you will receive.

Dimensions: 3 x 2 x 7/16-3/8" (76 x 51 x 8-10mm)
Shape: rough irregular polygon with one long straight side. Maybe it looks like half a mountain.
Weight: 77.26g
Source: Dominican Republic

A large slab of Larimar rough with waves of possibilities for matching pieces and sets.

Side A - The dominant pattern is concentric arcs, radiating outward from matrix on the straight side. The matrix is natrolite, surrounded by what is perhaps a thin red hematite rich layer, but this reddish layer is less than 1mm thick. The next layer is light blue, then green grains, more light blue but thinner, a thinner layer of green grains, then a thicker layer of light blue, then a large (1cm) field of beautiful chatoyant white, terminating in a blue line, then another layer of white and some chatoyancy. It's a little "agatey" looking.

Side B - The matrix and red hematite layer is slightly larger, and in the same place, as side A, and then a layer of light blue. The rest of the face is green grains, 2-4mm, arranged in arcs and lines, on a field of medium blue. Lots of this pattern is consistent across the face, so multiple matching cabochons could be made from this stone.

Edge - One long straight saw-cut side, the rest are natural-break faces, mostly straight, but some undercut in a few areas less than 1cm favorable to side B. No structural problems seen not already mentioned.
