An interesting set of vintage Indian Scales, could be for Pharmacy, Apothecary, Jewellery or even weighing precious spices.
The weights are all in grams, from 50, down to 1 gram, except that one weight is missing and had been replaces with an Avery weight of half an ounce!
It is still in its original dark blue velvet box.
The presence of a box suggests that these were rather special and needed to be kept safe.

This would make great décor in a pharmacy or Jewellers window, or would be a very different gift for Christmas.
