An elegant vintage Daphne cheapest Hatcher pitcher vase / saki pitcher, totally hand made at their Pine Mills Pottery studio in East Texas. Pine Mills pottery (Gary Hatcher and Daphne Hatcher) make their own clay and glazes and hand throw every piece of their ceramics. The pitcher has a lovely shape with pinched sides and a soft earthy salt fired glaze over half of the exterior of the piece which gives a nice rustic or raw feel. The interior is glazed so it can be used for various liquids or oils. Pine Mills pottery is beautiful and functional. It is in excellent vintage condition. The maker stamps 'DH' and a pine tree symbol are on the bottom. This exquisite pitcher vase is great to display as an objet d'art, or perfect in the kitchen for everyday use. Even use it as an adorable bud vase!

Daphne Roehr Hatcher and Gary Hatcher, established Pine Mills Pottery in 1979, upon returning from a three year apprenticeship in England, France, and Greece where they worked in the studios of several established ceramic artists, most notably, and for the longest period of time, the ceramic artist and potter, David Leach.
Pine Mills Pottery is known for their exquisite pottery in the Mingei style of the 1920s and 30s in Japan. Known as the hand-crafted art of ordinary people, these pieces bring beauty into everyday life. Their work has been in public exhibitions and is in private collections worldwide.
