The cheapest Stag and Bear Drum This beautiful framed drum with a Celtic/tribal influenced hand painted graphic, was handmade by Montana based artist and builder, Jan. Each drum takes Jan approximately 60 days to create, thus each drum is unique and one of a kind. From milling and shaping the poplar wood frames, to forming and attaching the drum skin, painting the final decorative graphic; the entire crafting process is a hands-on labor of love by Jan. And yes, Kinley the dog is vital in helping to locate and collect native Montana materials such as antler sheds! This is Jan and Kinley's favorite part of drum building! The drum pictured consists of a buffalo skin head fitted to a 1/2 inch hand bent by Jan poplar frame, secured with buffalo rawhide and a leather wrapped metal ring. The handle is from a whitetail deer antler found by Kinley and a real Black Bear claw. The shape provides a strong deep sound. This is a truly unique drum infused with the pure loving creative energy.
