50s Union Steel cheapest Chest/Utility Box/Tool Box/Tackle Box/Green Metal/Removable Tray/Padlock/Handle/BROKEN Leather Handle/7Dx16Lx7.5H/Vintage

This is a vintage 1950s, “Union Steel”, utility, tool or tackle box made by the “union Steel Chest Corporation of Leroy, New York. It measures 16 inches in length by 7 inches deep by 7.25 inches in height. It is made of green metal and features a removable tray, 4 reinforced steel corners, 3 steel front closures, one locking closure for a cheapest padlock placement and a thick, padded & stitched leather handle at the top which unfortunately is broken. There is also a key locking system, but the key is missing. This is one of the few steel chests that has the advantage of being able to use a padlock for security. The steel box is in good condition with wear and scratches, but no dents or rust. It is being sold “AS IS”. Please be sure before purchasing as this item is NOT returnable. (9/14/22).
