Product code: Incantation Against Gas: Ancient cheapest Akkadian Cuneiform Clay Tablet

Clay cuneiform tablet modeled on ancient Mesopotamian originals dating from about 3,700-3,800 years ago by an internationally recognized expert using a best approximation of ancient techniques.

This tablet contains an ancient Akkadian incantation designed to make someone fart. The gas (understood as "wind") is commanded to cheapest leave every orifice of the body, and is commanded to leave in a manner similar to the expulsion of demons. It translates:

“Exit, wind, exit, wind!
Exit, wind, son of the gods! (the four main winds were sometimes understood as gods)
From the head, exit, wind!
From the eye, exit, wind!
From the ear, exit, wind!
From the anus, exit, wind!
So that the man is relieved!”

This tablet was incised by hand with a square-edged wooden stylus and hand-formed using a rolling pin and knife. Every tablet is therefore individually unique. The tablet is made of kiln-fired clay that is not glazed (glaze interferes with the all-important shape of the cuneiform wedges and was not used in antiquity). The dimensions of the tablet are approximately 3.0 x 2.25 x 0.5 inches. A full description of the tablet's contents and a description of its background are included.

This piece can accentuate a variety of home and business settings and is an ideal conversation piece, especially when displayed at the proper angle that brings out the three-dimensional character of cuneiform script (instructions on how to display the tablet are included). I recommend displaying it on a small wooden easel stand 4 x 3 inches (10 cm x 8 cm).
