Vintage Hand-Painted on cheapest Shell Persian Storyteller Pendant on a Vintage Sterling Silver Italian Wire Choker, Pendant is 2 1/4" X 1 1/2"

This cheapest gorgeous necklace is a teardrop-shaped vintage 1920s Persian storyteller pendant, hand-painted on shell with a heavy clear resin on top. It is surrounded by hammered silver with a riveted flower design. The border acid tests as silver but there is no purity stamp which could indicate an earlier date for this pendant. The pendant is 2 1/4" X 1 1/2" in length and width.

To compliment the pendant, I've added a vintage sterling silver Italian wire choker. The choker is stamped 925 with a star 156 VE, which is the number of the silversmith and the province it which is was made, in this case, Venezia. The choker has some wear and is not perfectly shaped which made it the perfect for this pendant. Both pieces are in vintage condition but wear their age beautifully which I tried to indicate with the pictures!
