This bright and cheerful quilt would make a great addition to any little girl's nursery. The 100% cotton fabric comes from various collections, and the background fabric is white Kona cotton. There is a tiny grey dot fabric for the binding, which is double folded and machine attached to the front for durability and traditionally hand sewn to the back. The backing fabric cheapest is a fun, multicolored zigzag.

This size and shape would be great in a crib, a toddler bed or as a baby play mat.

This quilt has been machine quilted in my smoke free home. As always, I used low volume Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 cotton batting to minimize shrinking.

Prior to piecing, all fabric was prewashed to help minimize shrinkage. A small amount of shrinking can still be expected and will give the quilt the crinkly, antique look of an heirloom quilt.

It can be machine washed, in cold water, on gentle cycle and tumbled dry on low or hung up to dry.
