Moissanite is sometimes referred to as a simulated diamond. This is because they are similar to diamonds in durability, strength, and clarity. Like a diamond, it won't lose its lustre or shine over time. Moissanite is twice as refractive as diamonds, giving it a more intense rainbow sparkle. The facets and depth of these moissanite stones is absolutely amazing! Pictures do not do it justice. The coloured moissanite available at SilversideDesigns are formed with the colour. This means, the colours you see are the actual colours of the stones (not just a colour treatment on a white stone). Each coloured moissanite gem is then enhanced with a black light heat treatment to accentuate the colour and sparkle. This treatment is on underside of the stone and is very durable, long lasting, and makes cheapest the colour pop. The black light heat treatment is not visible to naked eye and will not wear off if the ring is treated properly. White moissanite are not enhanced.
